Hi, I'm Laurel
I consider myself a nomad after living everywhere from Arizona, Massachusetts, Kansas, Italy, Illinois, Colorado, and California. I discovered the beauty of Washington in 2013 and definitely feel that the Pacific Northwest is now my home. I’m an avid downhill skier, kayaker, and trail runner who can generally be found hanging out with my awesome pup, gardening, trying out new recipes with my husband, chasing sunsets, or drinking a cup of coffee.
Outside of my counseling, supervision, and consultation practice I also co-own an association for counselors seeking practice startup support and am an Adjunct Instructor in the Human Services Department at WWU.

EXPERIENCE &
|
I spent over 7 years doing crisis response in a college environment and then worked for a multiple years at a community mental health agency with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples before transitioning into Private Practice. I am an integrative therapist which means I draw from a variety of theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), LifeSpan Integration, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness, but I do not currently prefer one specific theory. I feel that each client is unique and therefore may respond best to a variety of styles.
